We need the sun for healthy bones

We need sunlight for healthy bones, without it we can be Vitamin D deficient.  In children this can result in rickets and in adults causes painful joints.  Get a daily dose of sunlight but remember always wear high factor sun protection.

Welcome to Tolessa Orthopaedics

I have been working as a Consultant Orthopedic Surgeon for more than 10-years now and have gained extensive experience working in various regional and international hospitals.

As a Doctor my mission is to deliver state-of-the-art services in all aspects of orthopedic medicine and to promote continuous education for the prevention of and management of musculoskeletal conditions.

Physical body conditioning is, in my opinion, key in keeping our back and joints healthy. Basic exercise, as simple as it may seem, is essential in preventing and managing back and joint pain. As they say, prevention is definitely better than cure. My philosophy is "Keep Moving" and my work over the past couple of years has been to develop a range of simple yet effective exercise regimens designed to bring relief to everyone who uses them.
